Instant Master · privacy 私隱

Privacy Policy私隱政策

Effective: 18 October 2026

InstantMaster is built so that your recordings are yours alone. This is what the app does with data, in plain words: your recordings live on your phone, and the only things that talk to the outside world are anonymous usage analytics you can switch off, the ads you choose to watch, and the purchases you choose to make.

Your recordings stay on your device.

Your recordings, projects, edits, and settings are stored only on your phone. InstantMaster has no servers and no accounts. Nothing you record or make in the app ever leaves your device unless you export or share it yourself.

Microphone.

InstantMaster asks for microphone access because it is a recording app; audio is captured only while you record or monitor, and it is written only to your device's storage.

Anonymous usage analytics.

To understand which features get used and improve the app, InstantMaster sends anonymous usage events to Mixpanel, an analytics service working on our behalf. An event says that a feature was used and when — for example, “a session was exported”. Events never include your recordings or any audio, your project names or content, or anything you type. They are tied to a random identifier created when you install the app — not your name, email, phone number, or advertising ID — and we cannot use it to work out who you are. We have configured Mixpanel not to derive your location from these requests. You can turn analytics off at any time with the “Share anonymous usage analytics” switch on the Projects screen, and deleting the app deletes the identifier. Mixpanel's own privacy policy is at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Rewarded ads.

In the free version you can earn points by choosing to watch a short ad. Ads never play on their own — the only ad in InstantMaster is one you tap to watch, and the ads software contacts Google only when you do. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are non-personalised: they are chosen from general context such as your country and device type, not from a profile of you. To deliver ads and prevent fraud, Google's software receives standard device information (such as your IP address, device model, and an advertising identifier) and basic ad-interaction data (such as whether an ad was shown and watched). InstantMaster does not use this data to track you across other companies' apps or websites and does not ask for App Tracking permission. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before the first ad is requested and ads respect the choice you make there; you can review or change it at any time from “Ad privacy choices” under PRIVACY on the Projects screen. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and what its advertising software collects is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Purchases.

The optional Pro upgrade is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play, as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, under the store's own terms. InstantMaster receives only the store's confirmation that your purchase is active — it never sees your name, card, or billing details, and no purchase-management service sits in between. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your store account settings, and restore a purchase on a new device from inside the app. Pro removes the points system entirely, including the option to watch ads.

Sharing and export.

When you export a file and hand it to another app (the system share sheet, Files, or Downloads), that file goes where you send it — from that point it is governed by the receiving app or service, not by InstantMaster.

Crash reports.

InstantMaster ships with no third-party crash-reporting software. If your device's own settings allow it, Apple or Google may share anonymized crash statistics with us through their standard developer tools; that sharing is controlled by your device settings, not by this app. Google's ads software may report crash and performance information about itself to Google.

Children.

InstantMaster collects no personal data from anyone, including children — the usage analytics described above are anonymous and identify no one. The only ads are the non-personalised ones you choose to watch, requested with a general-audiences content rating.

Your rights.

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what personal data is held about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to or restrict its use. Because we store no personal data ourselves, the practical controls are on your device: the analytics switch and the ad privacy choices above, and deleting the app, which deletes the analytics identifier. Requests about data held by Mixpanel or Google go to them through the links above, but email us if you want help and we will point you the right way. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes.

If a future version changes what the app sends off your device — for example a new ad network, an analytics tool, or instrument packs downloaded from a content server — it will be disclosed clearly in the app and this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date.
